+1 and children

Can I attend with a +1?
Yes, invitations include a +1. Be sure to add his or her name when you RSVP for the wedding. If your companion would like to participate in any of the activities, he/she can RSVP individually.

Can I come with my young children?
We want all of our guests to relax, enjoy the celebration without interruptions, and feel free to have a little bit of crazy fun. Therefore, we have decided to make this an adults-only wedding. We appreciate your understanding.

Activities

We have organized some activities to keep you entertained and enjoy time together in the days leading up to the wedding. However, participation is completely optional and we do not want you to feel obliged to do so. The area of Girona offers a great variety of things to do and landscapes to discover. If you are coming for several days and prefer to spend time at your leisure, we have left some information about the area in this link.

Accommodation

Is it better to stay in Girona, Figueres, or where?

It depends on how many days you come and your preference.
In Figueres and surroundings, you will be just a few minutes away from the Farinera de Sant Lluís, the wedding venue on Saturday, and the pre-wedding and activities on Friday. If you are coming only for the wedding, this is probably the best option.

If you are coming before Friday, you can choose to stay in Girona the first nights and change to Empordà/Figueres from Friday onwards. On Wednesday and Thursday we will do some activities in Girona. In any case, the journey Girona-Figueres is less than 30 minutes by car and 14 minutes by train.

Can you recommend a hotel?

In the Accommodation tab you will find some suggestions and discounts. However, there are many more options. Both Girona and the area of Figueres, Empordà, and Costa Brava, have a very extensive offer of hotels, as well as houses and apartments for holiday rentals.

Dress code

The dress code for the wedding is daytime formal. Expected attire includes suits for men and cocktail dresses for women. There is no specific dress code for the pre-wedding party on Friday or for any other planned activities.

Transportation on the wedding day

We are organising a bus service from the wedding to the centre of Figueres, with stops at the Empordà, Pirineos and Duran hotels. We will confirm the availability of the service and the timetables later on.

How to get there

By car:

Farinera de Sant Lluís, the wedding venue, has ample parking. It can be easily accessed by the AP-7 and the N-II, and any navigation app, such as Google Maps or Waze, will guide you without any problem. By car, the venue is at:

5 minutes from Figueres.
15 minutes from Peralada.
30 minutes from Girona.
1 hour or less from any point of the Empordà or the Costa Brava.
1 hour and 30 minutes from Barcelona.

By train:

- Girona train station:

Car rental and taxi options are available. The station is in the city centre, and many hotels are within walking distance.
There are direct trains from Madrid, Valencia, Paris, or Perpignan. By AVANT trains, the journey time to Barcelona-Sants station is 38 minutes, and 14 minutes to Figueres station.

- Figueres train station:

Car rental and taxi options are available. The car/taxi ride to the wedding is 5 minutes.
There are direct trains from Madrid, Valencia, Paris, or Perpignan. By AVANT trains, the journey time to Barcelona-Sants station is 55 minutes, and 14 minutes to Girona station.

By plane:
There are three nearby airports with both domestic and international flights.

- Girona airport:

Car hire and taxi options are available. The journey by car/taxi from the airport is 15 minutes to the centre of Girona (+/- 25€) and 35 minutes to Figueres.
There are direct buses from the airport to Girona station, the journey time is 15 minutes.

- Barcelona airport:

Car hire and taxi options are available. The drive is 1 hour and 20 minutes to Girona and 1 hour and 40 minutes to Figueres.
With normal traffic, the taxi journey from the airport is 20 minutes to Barcelona-Sants train station (+/- 30€). From there you can take AVANT trains which take 38 minutes to Girona and 55 minutes to Figueres. You can check the trains on this link.
There are bus and metro options from the airport to any point in Barcelona.

The Sagalés bus company has three routes a day from Barcelona airport to the centre of Girona (20€, in 2 hours and 50 minutes) and Figueres (27€, in 3 hours and 30 minutes). You can find information about these buses here. Please note that the AVANT train option is much faster.

- Perpignan airport (FR):

Car hire and taxi options are available. The drive is 1 hour and 15 minutes to Girona and 45 minutes to Figueres. The journey from the airport to Perpignan-TGV train station is 10 minutes by taxi and 30 minutes by bus. From there, trains take 38 minutes to Girona and 21 minutes to Figueres.
